BSE partners with Tamil Nadu govt’s M-TIPB to promote listing of MSMEs

  • Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has collaborated with Tamil Nadu government to promote awareness among MSMEs of the state about the benefits of listing.
  • To facilitate this, BSE will partner with MSME Trade and Investment Promotion Bureau (MTIPB).
  • BSE will provide capacity building and soft support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Tamil Nadu for fulfilling listing requirements.

For the first time in the country, an ecological park has been set up on a 72-acre limestone quarry

  • For the first time in the country, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has opened an ecological park on a 72 acre limestone quarry. The park is located at Bandalgudi near Aruppukottai.
  • The park has an aquatic path, arid vegetation and 200 species of trees to create a rich biodiversity resource for the animals.

HANSA-NG: India’s most advanced flying trainer completes trials

  • ‘HANSA-NG’, which is India’s first indigenous flying trainer, has successfully completed the sea-level trials in Pudducherry from February 19 to March 5,
  • The flying trainer has been developed by CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories.
  • It is powered by Rotax Digital Control Engine.
  • It possesses unique features like Just-In-Time Prepreg (JIPREG) Composite Lightweight Airframe, etc.

India’s first ‘Smart Managed’ EV charging station commissioned

  • BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) has commissioned India’s first ‘Smart Managed’ EV charging station.
  • The charging station, which can charge five evehicles Simultaneously, is co-located at BYPL’s sub-station premise in Mayur Vihar Extension Phase I, New Delhi.
  • BSES Yamuna Power Limited is a joint venture between Reliance Infrastructure and the NCT government of Delhi.

Pune Metro is the first metro project in the country to have Aluminum body coaches

  • The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has inaugurated Pune Metro Rail Project on March 06, 2022, and also interacted with differently-abled, visually impaired students present inside the metro coach, during his 10-minute ride in the Pune Metro.
  • Pune Metro Rail Project has been built at a total cost of ₹11,420 Crore. It has a total length of 33.2 km and 30 stations.
  • Pune Metro is the first metro project in the country to have Aluminum body coaches, indigenously manufactured under Make in India policy of GoI.

Quantum communication test for 100 km distance in domestic technology for the first time in the country

  • For the first time in the country, a joint venture between DRDO and Delhi IIT has been successful in transmitting information securely over a distance of 100 km using quantum technology.
  • Communication testing between the cities of Prayagraj and Vindhyasal in Uttar Pradesh using a technology called “Quantum Key Distribution” has recently been successfully completed.

Indian women win 25m sports pistol gold

  • Rahi Sarnobat, rhythm Sangwan and Esha Singh clinched gold, beating Singapore 17-13, in women’s 25 metre sports pistol team championship in the shooting World Cup.
  • With 3 gold, a silver and a bronze, India climbed to the 2nd spot in the medals table behind Norway.

Ashwin becomes India’s 2nd Highest wicket taker in tests

  • Premier off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin went past the legendary Kapil Dev’s 434 Test scalps to become the second highest wicket taker for India in the longest format of the game, reaching the mark in his 85th match.

  • The 28th edition of DST-CII India-Singapore Technology Summit was held in Feb’22.
  • Union Minister of State Science and Technology Dr. Jitendra Singh delivered the inaugural address.
  • He informed that India is placed 3rd among countries in scientific publication and it has featured within the top 50 innovative economies globally (at 46th rank), as per Global Innovation Index (GII)

IIT-M to host 3 day symposium

  • The department of administrative reforms and public grievances of the Union GOvernment will conduct a 3 day symposium on “Imagining India @2047 through Innovation” at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
