தேர்தல்கள் (ELECTIONS)

தேர்தல்களைக் கண்காணிப்பதும், நெறிப்படுத்துவதும் கட்டாள்கை புரிவதும் தேர்தல் ஆணையத்திடம் உற்றமைந்திருக்கும் (Superintendence, direction and control of elections to be vested in an Election Commission)

சமயம், இனம், சாதி அல்லது பாலினம் காரணமாக வாக்காளர் பட்டியலில் சேர்க்கப்படுவதற்கோ, தனியுறு வாக்காளர் பட்டியலில் சேர்க்கப்பட வேண்டுமெனக் கோருவதற்க்கோ எவரும் தகுமை அட்ட்றவர் ஆகார் (No person to be ineligible for inclusion in, or to claim to be included in a special, electoral roll on grounds of religion, race, caste or sex)

மக்களவைக்கும், மாநிலங்களின் சட்டமன்றப் பேரவைகளுக்குமான தேர்தல்கள் வயது வந்தோருக்கு வாக்குரிமை என்ற அடிப்படையில் இருக்கும் (Elections to the House of the people and to the Legislative assemblies of States to be on the basis of adult suffrage)

சட்டமன்றங்களுக்கான தேர்தல்கள் பொறுத்து வகை செய்வதற்கு நாடாளுமன்றத்திற்குள்ள அதிகாரம் (Power of parliament to make provision with respect to elections to Legislatures)

ஒரு மாநிலத்தின் சட்டமன்றத்திற்கான தேர்தல்கள் பொறுத்து வகை செய்வதற்கு அச்சட்டமன்றதிற்குள்ள அதிகாரம் (Power of Legislature of a State to make provision with respect to elections to such Legislature)
